Using the Tools
Each applet has a toolbar at the top of the window which may be configured differently with specific tools you need. The table below shows some of the commonly used toolbar options.
Plot a Point Image Added | - Click the "point tool" in the toolbar.
- A dropdown menu may appear for you to select the specific type of point, confirm the style you want to point, sometimes only one is displayed.
- Plot the point on the applet window.

Draw a Segment or Line Image Added | - Click the "line tool" in the toolbar.
- A dropdown menu may appear for you to select the specific type of line want to draw.
- Click on two existing points on your graph to draw a line through or plot two new points for the line.
**Sometimes only the segment tool is displayed in the toolbar. See the middle tool in the image on the left.

Insert Text or Labels Image Added | - Click the "text tool" in the toolbar.
- A dropdown menu may appear for you to confirm the text tool.
- Click the location on your window where you want the text box to appear.
- A text window will appear for you to type your text and select your font. You also have the option to insert an equation if necessary.
- Click "OK" to insert your text.

Move your View Image Added | - Click the "move graphics tool" in the toolbar.
- A dropdown menu may appear for you to confirm the movement tool you want. The image to the left is the move window tool.
- Click and drag the window to your desired view.

Zoom In or Zoom Out Image Added
| - Click on the "zoom in" or the "zoom out" tool in the toolbar.
- Double click on the spot in the window you want to zoom in or out.
**Sometimes the zoom tools are found in the "move graphics tool" drop down.

Delete Object Image Added | - Click on the "delete tool" in the toolbar.
- A dropdown menu may appear for you to confirm the delete tool.
- Click on the object in your applet window you want to delete.

Submitting Your Work
Once you are finished with an applet, you may need to screenshot your final display to submit to your teacher. Reference the screenshot instructions for assistance.
