Student Instructions - Kite Assessment Portal

The PLTW Final Exam requires the use of two devices. If you need assistance please call the Launch helpdesk at 417-523-0417 so we can best assist you.

The PLTW Final Exam also requires Kite version 31 for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

  1. In your Project Lead The Way course you will receive a Zoom link from your teacher for virtual proctoring.

  2. Before joining the Zoom session make sure that you have access to Kite, the testing platform used to take the EOC. You will also need to have the Zoom app available on a second device such as phone or tablet.

 

Accessing Kite on a Chromebook


To access Kite on a Chromebook, please follow these steps.

  1. Turn on your Chromebook, but do not sign in with your email. If you are already signed into your Chromebook, sign off back to the log in screen.

  1. Locate the Apps Folder on the bottom left of the screen, shown in the red box below.

  1. In the apps folder, click on PLTW Kite Student Portal and allow time for the application to load. Note: Please load version 31 of Kite if you have multiple options available.

  1. Enter the username and password provided by your teacher.

Accessing Kite on a Personal computer.

  1. Get permission from your guardian to download KITE on your personal computer.

Installing Kite on a Personal Chromebook

Students can’t install Kite on a personal Chromebook because those devices can’t be placed into the required kiosk mode needed for installation. If you need a device to complete the EOC in your PLTW course please see the following options:

Launch MOCAP & SPS Students


Please contact supplies@fueledbylaunch.com to request a Chromebook to complete your EOC. Devices may also be picked up at the Launch office located at 1410 S. Kansas Expressway.


Launch Partner District Students

Please contact your school district to request a device to complete your EOC. If you need help contacting your school district please reach out to supplies@fueledbylaunch.com .
