How to Create a New Teacher Account

Teachers can use their accounts to create class lists, student accounts and assignments. They can also be used to monitor their student's progress through Prodigy's Reporting tools.

Here are the steps to follow to create your "Teacher" Account:

Navigate to Prodigy. Select the "Sign Up" button.
Select “Teacher.”
Follow the prompts to sync Prodigy with your SPS Google account.
Select the appropriate curricula (if needed) and click on the “Set My Curriculum” button.
If you don’t see SPS listed, choose the “I don’t teach at a school” option, then “Create Class Manually.”
On your dashboard, you can now copy your Class Code (a 7-digit code) near the top left of the page. (You can also see this, along with any of your other Prodigy classes, on your Classes page.) You can now share this code with your students when they’re ready to start a Prodigy assignment, and

Class Codes for Existing Student Accounts

Looking to add students to your class that already have Prodigy accounts? Class codes are an easy way to have your students link their account to yours when they register. You may also have the students asking "What Is My Class Code?"

Note: Students need to create their accounts before using your class code.

What is a Class Code?

A class code is a set of letters and numbers unique to each registered Prodigy teacher account.
It can be located on your teacher Classes page.

How do my students use my class code?

Class codes will be entered as part of the student registration process. To get your students started, follow these instructions:

Have your students navigate to Prodigy using the link in their course.
Have them Login with their Google accounts.
Have them enter the correct game.
Have your student click the “Update" button under "New Teacher?"
Have them enter in your class code.

That's it! Your students can login to the game with their existing username and they'll automatically be tied to your class list via the class code.
