Use these directions to learn how to access Tynker assignments from your Canvas course.

Note: Links to Tynker will be located in your Canvas assignments.

Please use the following Table of Contents to explore using Tynker.

Starting a Tynker Project

Go to an assignment (on Canvas) that requires the use of Tynker.

Before going out to Tynker, take note of what Tynker lesson you need to complete.
(Lesson 4 Conditional Loops in this example.)

The first time you click a Tynker link from an assignment, you may be prompted to authorize your account.
Click the Authorize button.

Click on My Classes from the left navigation menu.

Click your Course Tile from the list of courses.
(Discover Computer Coding I in this example.)

A list of your course lessons will show, scroll until you find the lesson with the same title from the Canvas assignment.

Click the Start button on an activity to begin the lesson.

When you are complete, remember to submit a screenshot to the Canvas assignment.

Sharing a Project

After you finish a project in your class, be sure to give the project a unique name, then click save.

Go back to Canvas and let your teacher know your unique project name through a Canvas assignment submission.

Your instructor will add your project to the Class Showcase.

Viewing a Shared Project

All projects shared in Tynker are only viewable if you are logged in.

Go to My Classes.

Choose your class from the list.

Scroll down to the Class Showcase.

Choose another student’s project by clicking it.
