**Note: When using the pen tool, make sure to click the checkmark after using the pen or your line will not save on the submitted document**
1. To submit a student annotation activity to Canvas, begin by clicking the Start Assignment button in the top right corner of the Canvas activity.
2. A Student Annotation submission tab will open with the annotation document.
*if you do not see these tools you may need to expand your page
3. Use the top toolbar to perform any requested actions upon your document.
**Note: When using the pen tool, make sure to click the checkmark after using the pen or your line will not save on the submitted document**

Zoom |  | Zooms in and out of the document. |
Select Annotation |  | Select an existing annotation on the page to move or delete. |
Point Annotation |  | Leave a point on the page with an annotated comment. |
Highlight Annotation |  | Highlights text on the page. |
Freetext Annotation |  | Add text annotations to the page. |
Strikeout Annotation |  | Strikethrough text on the page. |
Free Draw Annotation |  | Freeform draw tool for lines. You must click the check mark after drawing or your drawing will not save.  |
