1. To submit a discussion board post, click the Reply button below the Canvas discussion board assignment.

2. Type your post in the provided text field [1], then click the Reply [2] button to post your message to the discussion board.

  1. If you would like to tag your teacher or classmate in a post, use the @ symbol, followed by the person’s name you would like to tag.

  1. If you would like to quote your teacher or another classmate in a post, click Quote [1] under the person’s response you would like to quote, and then make sure the “include quoted message” selector is pushed to the right and green [2]. Then type your message in the provided text field [3], which, when posted, will include the selected quote.

  1. If you would like to report an inappropriate post, click on the three dots [1] in the upper-right-hand corner of the post you would like to report. Then click Report [2].

  1. Once you click Report, you will be given a list of reasons for making the report, including Inappropriate; Offensive, Abusive; and Other. You must select one. The reported reply will then be sent to the teacher for review.
