When you use an internet browser, such as Google Chrome, it stores images and files in a cache. This allows for quicker browsing since previously visited pages won’t have to reload all of the data.
Unfortunately, this can also cause browsing issues where you see a previous version of a page or the browser hangs on to an expired log in session. Clearing your browser’s cache is a great place to start when troubleshooting a Chrome issue where the page might not load correctly or is giving an error you normally don’t receive.
Start by clicking the ellipses (the three dots) in the top right of the browser window then select More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.
Set the Time range to All time then select both the Cookies and other site data and Caches images and files options.
Once this operation has been performed, completely close the browser and any tabs then reopen the browser.
