StudySync from McGraw-Hill is utilized in this course. As the online teacher for this course, there are a few steps you will need to take to prepare the McGraw-Hill resources for the students.
NOTE TO TEACHERS - You must log in daily to StudySync!
The way StudySync syncs assignments to students is based upon teacher login. If there are late adds to the course (after the class has started - and after the initial StudySync setup), StudySync relies on a teacher logging in to the software. Once the teacher logs in to StudySync and goes to their Dashboard, all course assignments (for all registered courses) sync to any new student(s) in the course(s).
This means that if a student is added late to your course, they might not see any StudySync assignments until you (as the teacher) log in to StudySync and access the dashboard to force the assignment sync. This also means it is incredibly important to log in to StudySync often, especially at the start of a new term to ensure all students are able to view and access their assignments.
To log in to StudySync, click the ConnectED link from the left-side course navigation menu.
Click the StudySync icon.
Click Launch StudySync link to load the StudySync dashboard.
Once you see the dashboard all of your StudySync sections should be automatically refreshed and synced to Canvas.
Grading StudySync Assignments
StudySync requires screenshot submission to Canvas to show they have completed work. These screenshots are not meant to show all of the students responses--they are only meant to indicate that the student has performed the work in StudySync. You will need to log in to StudySync and view the student responses to grade their work.
Please view the Grading StudySync Assignments video to see how to review students' submissions within StudySync. You will need to add their grade to the Canvas gradebook once you have looked at the full submission in StudySync.
