StudySync Navigating in StudySync
StudySync

StudySync from McGraw-Hill is utilized in this course to provide student's access to texts and enrichment. As the online teacher for this course, there are a few steps you will need to take to prepare the McGraw-Hill resources for the students.
NOTE TO TEACHERS :
When you receive access to your Launch Course it will take 24 hours to gain access to the course in StudySync. If a student is added to your class it will take 24 for them to gain access.
Note - All StudySync links are already in your Canvas course; you only need to set up the StudySync side.
Newly Added Students:
The way StudySync syncs assignments to students is based upon teacher login. If there are late adds to the course (after the class has started - and after the initial StudySync setup), StudySync relies on a teacher logging in to the software. Once the teacher logs in to StudySync and goes to their Dashboard, all course assignments (for all registered courses) sync to any new student(s) in the course(s).

This guide will direct you on how to perform essential tasks in StudySync:

Grading StudySync

Once you have assigned the StudySync Assignments and students have completed them, you will need to be able to grade StudySync assignments.

  1. Once in your Launch course navigate to the "ConnectED" Button
  2. Next Click on the top box, StudySync Teacher Edition

  1. Then click on "Launch StudySync" button

  1. This will take you to your StudySync Dashboard.
  2. Click on Assignments
  3. Then click on the orange title link for the assignment you have assigned to students to open the assignment report for that assignment.
  4. Then you will see a list of the students who have received the assignment, as well as who has and has not completed the assignment.
  5. Click on the orange linked date next to the student's name and then you will see all the completed work for that selected student.
  6. This will take you to the Student Reposense where you can see the prompt and below the student's response.
  7. On the right side of the page, you can complete My Review where you can leave your own written feedback and score based on the rubric.
    1. When giving a rubric score hover over the score boxes to see a definition of that score.
  8. You also have the option to annotate on the student's essay, just like you were writing on the student's work with a red pen. Click Annotation, then highlight the text you want to annotate and it will give you an option to leave a comment.
    1. If you want to view all the annotations you have written then click View All at the top.
  9. Once you select the score you want to assign the student's work and given written feedback you can click Save Review.
  10. StudySync will then give you the option to Return to list of students assigned to that assignments. Or you can choose the Next un-reviewed student response to go to the next student's assignment that needs grading.
  11. When you return to the student report you will see that it shows a grade in the My Review column for the graded student's assignment.
  12. If you need to update a grade on a student simply click on the linked date to take you back to the students work then make any changes and click save review, updated changes will then show in MyStudent Report
