How often does Command Center data update?
Student canvas data is synchronized twice daily, once at 6am and again at 1pm. This synchronization includes the following data: Last Course Access, Last Submission, Last Contact Log, Last Graded, Score/Progress, Grade/Status, and 0-Point Assignments.
These synchronization times also apply to data exports.
How do I see my at-risk students?
Each district may have different criteria for identifying at-risk students. The guide below outlines a scenario that you can use to find at-risk students using Command Center data. For the purposes of this guide the steps will be presented in Microsoft Excel, however you can also follow along in Google Sheets.
Scenario - Find At-Risk Seniors
Generate and download a ‘Liaison Student Enrollment Report’.
Open the file in Microsoft Excel.
Click the data tab, then click filter:
Click the down arrow on the ‘Grade level’ column, then select only 12 for the grade filter:
Click the down arrow on the ‘Course Score / Progress’ column and sort smallest to largest:
Your list will now show all enrollments for 12th graders in order from lowest to highest score. You can now take action on students who do not have a passing grade.
You may also choose to filter by ‘Marking Period’, ‘Building Name’ or any other column as needed by using the same steps outlined in step four.
