Common Issues - Gizmos

Issue: I see a 5-minute countdown timer when using Gizmos.
Resolution: This means you are not signed in to Gizmos.
You can sign in to Gizmos by clicking the Gizmos Login link from the first module:
You can also sign in to Gizmos by clicking the Gizmos Login Link from your Canvas lab assignment:
Issue: I receive a message saying “Your account does not have permission to access this area.”
Resolution: You will see this message if you have changed your Canvas default e-mail to anything other than your ID#@sps.org.
You must keep your Canvas default e-mail as your ID#@sps.org which is indicated by the Star icon in Account Settings.
Issue: I see a message saying “No Gizmos or STEM Cases have been added to this class yet!”
Resolution: If you see this message, it means your teacher has not yet assigned the activities for your class within Gizmos.
You can use the Explore button in the top right corner of Gizmos to search for title of your lab assignment in order to complete the assignment.
