Teacher Instructions - Duolingo

Instructions for Spanish I (Sem 1 and 2):

In each unit, students need to practice their Spanish skills using Duolingo for an assignment. Follow these instructions for setting up your classroom in Duolingo.

Navigate to schools.duolingo.com.
Click "Sign Up Using Google" and use your SPS Google account to log in. You should be prompted to write your name.
The name of your classroom should be your course name in Canvas. [ex: Spanish I (Sem 1) (0580-3)]

Create a classroom by clicking Add Students.
Copy the link with the class code and keep your own record of the classroom code to share with your students.

Send the classroom code as a course announcement to your students.
- If you do not complete this step, students will not have the opportunity to complete the assignment.
On your dashboard, you can monitor your students' progress. This dashboard will update weekly, so make sure to check often and ensure students are submitting screenshots of their progress.
