Viewing Grades and Feedback

You are able to view your grades and teacher feedback on assignments. It’s important that you view your grades and teacher feedback on a regular basis. 

Grades

The following directions explain how to view your grades in Canvas:

• Click Grades in the left navigation.

• All of your grades will be listed in assignment order. The "Score" column will tell you what grade you received on each assignment, while the "Out of" column will tell you how many total points each assignment is worth.

  • If you see a dash in the “Score” column, that means you haven’t submitted the assignment yet.

  • If you see an icon, that means the teacher hasn’t graded the assignment yet.

Feedback

The following directions explain how to view feedback on your assignments in Canvas:

• Option 1: On your Dashboard is a section called “Recent Feedback,” on the right side of the screen. Click on any of the assignments in this section to view the feedback for that assignment.

• Option 2: Click Grades in the left navigation.

• Click the Name of the assignment.

• Teacher comments appear in the upper right of the screen.

• If a teacher adds corrections, you can view those by clicking View Feedback.
